I was born and raised in small town, rural America, aka Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Growing up in an area that was agriculturally dominate exposed me to a wide variety of animals from a very young age. At my Father’s house I spent my weekends pulling weeds and planting seeds in his many gardens, while also assisting with the daily care and maintenance of his farm animals. During the week at my Mother’s house I attended to my ever-growing flock of stray dogs and cats. At one point I had 5 cats, 8 dogs, an albino rat, a beta fish and a tangerine king snake. Needless to say, I have always seemed to be a critter magnet! These childhood experiences were my inspiration and were the driving force behind my decision to start a career in Veterinary Medicine.
I moved to Colorado in 2007 and moved all over the state before finally landing in Bailey Colorado 7 years ago. I finally perused my childhood dream and graduated from Bel Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2012 with a degree in Animal Science and a title of Certified Veterinary Technician. I absolutely love what I do and the difference I get to make! I have had the pleasure and opportunity to practice good medicine and to care for a wide variety of animals. I like to treat every day in the clinic like a school day, I always keep an open mind and am always ready to learn.
I still currently reside in Bailey with my Fiancé, Christopher and our Dog, Aspen, our 3 cats, Smith, Atticus & Colt and our 3 fire belly toads (Harpua, Eliza and Poison Ivy). In my spare time I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, going to see live music, camping, skiing and spending time with friends and family.
